concrete driveway replacement
The Challenge
An aging driveway with extensive cracking and deterioration needed a complete replacement to restore both its appearance and functionality.
The Solution
Tru-Grit removed the existing concrete and expanded the driveway by three feet on each side, creating a wider, more functional space. The project included grinding the curb for a smooth transition, preparing a proper 6-inch base of ¾-inch minus aggregate, and reinforcing the new concrete with ½-inch rebar.

RETAINING WALL REPLACEMENT & LANDSCAPE RESTORATION
The Challenge
A residential property in Honey Creek needed approximately 1,000 square feet of failing retaining wall replaced to restore structural stability while preserving the surrounding landscape.
The Solution
Tru-Grit removed the deteriorating walls, excavated and prepared the area, and installed new retaining walls using Vertica Pro blocks along the front and existing-style blocks along the back. The project included proper base preparation, drainage rock, grading, and final landscape restoration.
The Result
Strong, durable retaining walls that complement the property, along with freshly graded and seeded landscaping. Despite challenging weather conditions, the project was completed with attention to detail and a focus on long-lasting quality.
LAKEFRONT RETAINING WALL & PAVER WALKWAY
The Challenge
A lakefront property in South Bend needed an extension of its existing retaining wall and a new walkway to improve access to the dock while enhancing the surrounding outdoor space.
The Solution
Tru-Grit extended the retaining wall, prepared and leveled the surrounding areas, and installed a custom paver walkway leading toward the dock. The project also included site preparation and landscaping improvements to create a more functional, cohesive outdoor space.

BACKYARD POOL REMOVAL & firepit installation
The Challenge
A residential backyard needed a complete transformation following the removal of an above-ground pool, requiring extensive fill and site preparation to create a more functional outdoor space.
The Solution
Tru-Grit removed the pool, brought in approximately 60 tons of fill material, and graded the area to create a level foundation. Decorative smooth-face blocks and rock were installed to define the space and provide a clean, finished appearance.
The Result
A refreshed, more functional backyard with improved grading, attractive decorative stonework, and a clean foundation ready for future outdoor improvements.
